We will help you apply for EMA allowance if you have not done this already and advise you on how to set up a bank account so you can receive your EMA and travel expenses. Mostly wewant to find out what you can already do and simply get to know youbetter. |
Aims & Ambitionsweeks 3-6 | After Induction, we will help you to make some decisions about your future.You will start to think about the barriers stopping you reaching your full potential. You will look at your strengths and build on them. You will develop a map to show the journey through your learning programme and you will have gained some qualifications |
Work on Skillsweek 6 onwards | E2E concentrates on three skill areas. These are Personal Development and Working with Others, Skills for Life and Employability Skills. Personal Development includes out of centre activities, residentials and workshops. Skills for Life gives you the chance to improve basic reading, writing, number and computer skills in practical way that will be useful to you. You will be encouraged to work towards getting qualifications. Employability Skills will help you find out what employers want and work on your job search skills to help you find and apply for vacancies as well as do well in interviews. |
Skills to Workweek 6 onwards | The best way to know what kind of job you will enjoy is to try it out, so there will be opportunities for work tasters and work placements - a chance to put your skills to work. Being on a work placement gets you the experience that employers value. You can also prove how reliable you are and how well you work with others. Even if you do not end up working full time at your placement you will have lots to talk about at interviews for permanent work. |
